The Event Objective

Okay guys, have you had enough of standing on the sideline at the Contours Women’s Triathlon Series and others each year? It has been so exciting to see so many women of all fitness levels experience the thrill of completing a triathlon or duathlon. Now it is your turn! This series is a challenge to all blokes to get out there and show the girls that you can do it too. Event 1 is the starting point, Event 2 increases in distance and the third event is in the sea. Emphasis is on fun and participation; however we do recognise the achievement of the first three place getters in each category and age group for each event with prizes. Each event also has spot prizes drawn on a random basis from the day’s entries.

The most important thing to remember is that these events are a challenge … but should also be fun!

The Series

You do not have to do all three events. You can enter any of the events but if you enter and complete all three events as a series, you will be in line for a series place. That is each finisher is allocated points in their category – 10 for 1st, 9 for 2nd, 8 for 3rd etc. At the end of the third event the points are added up to ascertain who was 1st, 2nd & 3rd overall. These places will be recognised in each category and overall placing in the Triathlon & Duathlon. In the event of a tie for a place then it will be awarded on the result of Event 3. Series entrants also will receive a certificate with each events finishing times and places. Series entrants will also have special spot prizes. There will also be spot prizes for series entrants only (each event will also have spot prizes for all participants).
To qualify for the series you must enter all three events (same category) on or before the 5th October 2007 and then participate in each event! Teams must retain the same members to be eligible for series points.
